You receive warning notifications of the exact location where the alarm was triggered, while you can also use the app for arming delay, and more. The kit comes with a PIR main panel, a wireless PIR motion detector, 5 door/window sensors, 2 remote controls, an AC adapter, a user manual and all backup battery and installation accessories. Hide valuables and personal items in plain sight with these 3 secret hiding spots almost everyone has in their home. If you want a home security device that’s simple to set up and isn’t technically complicated, the iSmartAlarm may be right for you. It uses the app to arm, monitor and disarm the security system at any time and from anywhere. The Starter Package is a great DIY home security introduction. Users can monitor and observe when doors, windows or cabinets are opened and they can receive texts, push notifications and email alerts when the iSmartAlarm detects unauthorized activity. A simple list of components includes a hub, window/door sensors, motion sensor, remote, and sensor stickers for the yard or window. The nice thing about SmartThings and other home security devices being compatible with Z wave devices is that it works with hundreds of products, such as smart locks, smart sprinklers, smart garages and so much more. SmartThings is the cream of the crop in home security, especially considering it has no monthly fees. The device is best for those that enjoy a little tinkering around, as it’s not built to be an out of the box system, but rather requires that each device is programmed and set up separately.

So if this is a convenience factor you’d like to have, then yes, you do need to look for a system that has handsfree options. Geotracking works similar to the handsfree feature. When geotracking is included with your home security system, it works with the GPS feature on your smartphone, as long as you have the location services enabled. This feature will detect your location as long as you have your phone with you and you can preset rules as to how you want to use that feature. You can lock/unlock your door, arm/disarm your security system, turn your lights on or off, set the preferred temperature on your thermostat so it’s comfortable when you arrive. You can even preset it to close your garage door if you forget and it will do so once you’ve traveled beyond a certain range. You will probably want good security cameras and/or doorbell cameras so you can see who’s coming and going, as well as what’s happening in and around your home at all times. You might also want the panic button and the two way talk feature so your family can instantly call for help when needed. Window and door sensors and equipment that offers a cellular backup option so you don’t have to worry about the loss of security if any lines are cut or you lose power. Perhaps some environmental sensors to protect you and your family from fire or water intrusion events. And, of course, the convenience of home automation features so you can control and manage your home handsfree and/or remotely.

Typically a shop vac hose can only reach up to 15’ before the hose just curls up. Some trunk lines may stretch out to over 100’ in distance, which means 15’ would be cleaned and 85’ would go untouched. 90 degree turns will almost always make the shop vac end its descent in cleaning down a pipe because the shop vac hose cannot be turned without physical intervention. A greater risk of disconnecting pipes occurs due to the physical nature of the contact cleaning method. Also if any home security wiring, telephone wires or low voltage wiring is ever present in the ductwork, the physical nature of the contact cleaning method in air duct cleaning will increase the chances in breaking such wires, whereas air washing will not compromise such wires in any shape way or form. Most contact cleaning companies will recommend that you should have your air ducts cleaned out every year or two, because they know they left enough debris in the ductwork to try to get at it again in a year or two. Well there you have it folks. Both common methods in air duct cleaning really do have advantages and disadvantages. I attempted to write this article as fair and balanced as I could using as many facts based on past experiences that I have experienced in performing over 10,000 residential and over 2000 commercial air duct cleanings using both methods of cleaning. Based on my past experiences the advantages and disadvantages in both methods of air duct cleaning that I wrote about are very much so true in my experiences. There are many different cleaning machines and tools out there, which means’ that the chore in selecting a thorough air duct cleaner, can be daunting.
